Why Seahorse? 

 

A unique feature of the seahorses is that they are gender-less beings (yin-yang balanced), where their tiny little bodies embody both masculine and feminine qualities.  A calm and a patient creature, they are content to roam the seas, at a steady consistent pace, never in a rush.  They allow themselves to be who they are and being comfortable with what is. 

 

The symbolic meaning of a seahorse is quite delicate and profound:

• Calm

• Peaceful

• Balance of yin and yang (genderless)

• Patience

• Contentment

• Perspective

• High-perception and awareness of situations around them

 

In our every day lives, if we could aspire to or embody these qualities within us when negativity arises, it will allow us to be more self-aware, awake and mindful.  Hence, the seahorse is used to symbolize transformation and enlightenment here.
